family vacation: cabo san lucas 2014

Since we were little, my sisters and I looked forward to our annual family vacation where we could chill, hang with each other and eat everything all day and all night.

This year the location was set in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and it was one of the best yet. With all of us spread across the country, this year was especially important as getting together isn’t as easy as it used to be. It was also +1 as my sister’s husband joined us for the first time.

Our week-long trip included naps on the beach, pool time, mescal tasting and a sailboat sunset cruise. In a word, it was perfect.

I’m truly lucky to be part of a family that gets along so well and so close. The last day was tough as we had to say goodbye to each other, and was even more real this time as we traveled back to Texas and California. Not being able to see them the next week only made me miss them more.

I’m counting down the days until I get to see my family. In the meantime, I’ve got some beautiful memories to hold me over.

Thank you mom and dad for making this family vacation possible every single year. I love you!
