Neutral Bedroom Ideas
My first neutral bedroom set was in college and it was the cheap, light wood classic that is Ikea. After graduation, I decided faux chocolate-brown leather was the way to go. One thing is for sure, I always played it pretty safe with the color palette and opted for hues that could be mixed and matched, added to and could go anywhere. Since I’ve moved my stuff quite a few times in my lifetime (and showing no signs of stopping), I’ve had to choose furniture that is of lasting power, can be easily coordinated with, and pretty.
We sold most of our furniture when we made the move from Dallas to San Francisco, so I’ve been thinking of some ideas to give our master bedroom that grown up, spa-like sanctuary feel. Below are some color palettes I’ve been playing around with.
Color Palette #1: Mixed wood, cream and touches of earthy green
Dresser set- Ashley Furniture (Candiac)
Color Palette #2: Grey, white and cream with touches of lavender
grey ottoman, lavender print, lavender throw, color palette
Color Palette #3: Wheat, cream and tan with touches of pale blue
dresser, candle, throw pillow, bedroom set
These are all beautiful palettes, so I’m having a tough time deciding. At first I wanted grey and lavender, but finding a bedroom set that matched those hues AND under budget has been challenging. I’m leaning towards the wheat, earthy hues since they can be very interchangeable and provoke feelings of calmness.
Which one do you like?
